BIOGRAPHY

David Kim is the Vice President of Platform Engineering at Plaxonic Technologies, where he leads the design and implementation of internal developer platforms (IDPs) for enterprise clients. With 13 years of experience in infrastructure and platform engineering, David has been a pioneer in the platform engineering movement.

Before Plaxonic, David was a Staff Platform Engineer at a major tech company, where he built and scaled a developer platform serving 2,000+ engineers. His work reduced deployment times by 80% and improved developer satisfaction scores by 45%. He then moved into consulting, helping Fortune 500 companies adopt platform engineering principles.

David is a CNCF Ambassador, Kubernetes contributor, and Backstage community member. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and has completed the Platformcon advisory program. He regularly speaks at KubeCon, PlatformCon, and DevOps Enterprise Summit.
